In addition to his film and television credits, Richard has found success as a singer, a side career he launched in 1994. With the Dunmore Band he signed a record contract with the German label Edel Records in 1995 and released the CD "Waiting for the Sky to Fall".
Beside acting Richard enjoys painting and poetry where he can express himself best. He mostly does colorful oil paintings often categorized as Abstract with a bit of expressionism, surrealism and cubism. Many of his poems were used as the lyrics to his music.
